Tsuchigumo (土蜘蛛)

Tsuchigumo is the name for a race of spider-like yokai in Japanese folklore.
Jun is a reincarnation of the last thing one famous tsuchigumo yokai transformed into. That being a servant boy.

Jun transforms as a child with spider legs coming out from his spine. His eyes change colour and he can see in the dark. He can climb vertically up stuff, make and shoot out webs, and can produce mild poison and inject it through his teeth. He can also shapeshift into a huntsman spider. Jun prefers to not transform or use his powers. It's usually his last resort if anything.

Jun is a very quiet person in everything he does. He doesn't speak unless spoken too but in some cases he speaks up first to avoid awkwardness aha. This boy is stubborn like seriously he won't take no for an answer. Whether he is helping someone or if they want to help him, no is his usual answer. Jun represses a lot of what he thinks and feels, hence him being very distant and rude at first. It's caused by trauma in his past so Jun has trouble trying to get things across which can cause misunderstandings. Jun likes to get things done by himself and is very independent. He never asks for help even if he needs it and in general feels that doing things by himself is the best way. Once Jun's warmed up to someone, he starts to to become more honest with them. It's a big step for him so getting that far means that he is able to trust you. Jun's very subtle with how he approaches things and people that he doesn't want to offended with his rough first impression. Gentle with how he talks and with his actions. This boy even though is a tough nut is very loyal to the people he cares about. Really he'll go up an beyond for family and friends that have managed to open him up. And sweet like he'll still be very quiet about things, but little bits of affection, encouraging speeches. To anyone that needs some inspiring words he'll be there. Thats Jun uwu

History

Jun grew up in a small area on a mountain. It was a cliff basically but it was a place him and his great, great, grandmother were able to live on. Jun's parents had died when he was born. He was never told about how his parents died, however his grandmother was sure to tell him why. His grandmother was a descendent of the warrior that had encountered the yokai Jun's reincarnated after. Because of this, his grandmother despised him. She was extremely abusive, both physically and mentally. She would always call him a monster, a devil, a disgusting creature of hell, tell him that those who would touch him or be touched by him would be cursed because of the evil within him. He was made to do everything around their small house and was too afraid to go down to the local village because of what his grandmother had imbedded in his brain. After years of abuse, Jun had come to resent his yokai form and heritage entirely.   

One day however, when he was 15 Jun was going about his duties when he was struck by his grandmother for no reason other than for her to spit out her negativity. Jun would normally curl up and cover his ears... but this time something snapped in him, this wave of emotion took him and made him transform into his yokai form. His mind taken over by rage and fear, he struck his grandmother with his spider legs and bit her. It wasn't until his grandmother hit him across the face for the last time did he realise what he had done. The poison from Jun's fangs sucked the life out of his only family in a matter of seconds. Jun returned to his normal form, and as he stood up... he didn't feel remorse or guilt... he felt relieved

Jun was moved to a foster home after he had reported his grandmother was bitten by a spider. He stayed with his foster parents for a year. They were lovely to him and treated him with much love and attention. Although it was all for nought as Jun closed himself off from them. He didn't want to get close to them, in fear of cursing them. But some of their love did reach him, and soon enough when he was about to turn 17 he consulted in them. Once he was 17 he felt it was time to move and actually become an independent adult. He was planning to move somewhere close to his school in a house but his foster parents had already payed for a room at Ayakan estate. They said it would be good to be in a place with other people so Jun could learn to socialise. He was skeptical at first but since they had taken the trouble to do this for him after how he had acted, he thanked them and after a few months, moved into Ayakan-estate where he was to meet many nice, friendly people and his SS partner~
